Soccer Technology (ST)

Dive into the exciting intersection of sports and technology with our “Soccer Technology” course, designed for students eager to explore the world of robotics and engineering within the context of soccer. This dynamic program is split into two levels, ST1 and ST2, each spanning four months, culminating in an eight-month comprehensive learning journey.

 

Level ST1: Foundations of Soccer Robotics

– Duration: 4 Months

– Focus: Introduces basic robotics concepts, programming, and the engineering design process through the lens of soccer. Students will build and program robots capable of interacting with an infrared (IR) soccer ball, understanding the basics of movement, sensing, and autonomous decision-making.

 

Level ST2: Advanced Techniques and Strategies

– Duration: 4 Months

– Focus: Delves deeper into sophisticated programming languages, sensor integration, and strategic gameplay. Students will refine their robots, incorporating advanced sensors and algorithms to enhance performance, strategy, and teamwork on the soccer field.

 

Throughout both levels, participants will engage in hands-on projects that fuse the thrill of soccer with the challenge of robotics, fostering skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. By the end of the course, students will have not only built and programmed their own soccer-playing robots but also developed a deeper understanding of how technology can transform sports.
